Personal Statistics Name: Jesse Ryan Laramie Nickname(s): Usually just Jesse. But he has a plethora of nicknames from friends/co-workers. Date of Birth: 1989-05-03 Current Age: 21 Years Old Orientation: Straight Status: summerlynn has my heart :) ♥ ( 070710 ) Occupation: Professional Wrestler / Student. Hometown: Tampa, Florida Current Residence: Tampa, Florida and West Chester, Pennsylvania Family: Parents, Zachary and Michelle Laramie. Two older siblings, a brother and a sister. Contact: Locked threads through journals. Third person storybook.
- Spent the majority of his life in Florida. His family made residence in the sunshine state and it's still where Jesse classifies home for him.
- He comes from a middle class sort of family. Father being a construction worker and his mother a 6th grade math teacher. He and his siblings were never really spoiled, they worked for allowances, did chores, and were taught from a really young age that a little hard work goes a long way. He enjoys working for what it is in life that he wants just because of that over all satisfaction that you get when you finally achieve your goals.
- Is very close to his siblings, despite being the youngest of three. He and his brother used to wrestle around all the time in the back yard as well as in the middle of the living room floor while their family gathered around to watch Monday Night Raw. It was just a bonding sort of thing really.
- From around the age of 4, Jesse swore he would be wrestling one day for real. Just like his heroes Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. His big brother told him he was crazy, but it was all in typical sibling bickering/carry on. Nobody in his family ever denied the boy's dream.
- Jesse graduated high school when he was 17 years old. He was on the high honor roll his entire high school career and was very active in school. He played soccer, baseball, was captain of the wrestling team, participated in model UN, drama club and was even class president. Was listed "most likely to be a professional wrestler" in his year book, and was also one of the most popular kids in his school. Yet he was nice to everyone, treated everyone with respect and never really let anyone be an 'outcast'. He tried reaching out to people because he loved seeing people smile and have a good day.
- Personality wise that says a lot about him. Jesse is a very peaceful, loving sort of soul. He's always trying to make someone's day a little better, be it with a little note of encouragement, a hug, offering to talk about what's bothering them, or little candy hearts to candy kisses. He has a heart that's far too huge for his small body and that's often gotten him walked on or just taken advantage of. But he refuses to change his peace & love kind of demeanor just because some people try to ruin the good for everyone. He believes a few bad apples don't spoil the bunch, but just need to be pushed aside to get to the good ones.
- While still very young, he's a very driven and hard working young man. He doesn't just wrestle for a living but he also does college courses while on the road, after promising his mother he'd get his college degree. He's majoring in English and Communications and is in his second of four years with this.
- Most of his time is spent living on the road while working with World Wrestling Entertainment but he loves the lifestyle and loves the schedule. He loves traveling and seeing new places, meeting new people, and just experiencing the world with some of the greatest friends and extended family you could ask for. His best friends in the industry bar none are Kofi Kingston and Korry Rowe, but he's really close to a lot of the guys and girls in the backstage area. They really are like a huge family with how much they see each other.
- Though his rise to fame in wrestling has come very quickly (just being from the indies to WWE in a matter of three years) he's very humble, still somewhat shy, and over all one of the nicest kids you'll ever meet. Yet works just as hard, if not harder, than folks who've been in the industry 10 years longer than him. He never lets that hunger to better himself go stale.
- When not on the road, he resides between Tampa, Florida and West Chester, Pennsylvania, having a small, modest but cozy home in those cities.

- When Jesse was turning 18, he went with some friends to a wrestling show in Boston, Massachusetts. He ended up meeting Ash Hero at said show and the two talked about wrestling. It was only supposed to be a typical meeting/photo op/autograph type thing but they ended up having an almost 2 hour conversation sitting outside near Case Gym where the venue was held. Jesse seemed to light up just talking about the sort and how he wanted to peruse it as a career one day. Ash gave him his number and told Jesse to call him the next day if he was going to be in the Boston area. Jesse ended up road tripping with Hero and Roderick Strong to Pennsylvania to go to the Ring of Honor training facility.
- Training under the likes of Ash Hero and Roderick Strong, Jesse started his wrestling career in Ring of Honor. He had just turned 18 and started wrestling in ROH under the name Jesse Nova. Each match and every opponent was further training for Jesse, and he took every loss, every win, every draw, and every beating as a learning experience. He learned a lot from Hero during this time, and also trained with others in the industry from Hunter Johnston (Delirious), Allen Jones (AJ Styles) and Jack Evans. For an 18 year old kid, it was a big deal, and Jesse was living his dream despite moving from Tampa to live in St. Louis, Missouri to be closer to shows with Honor.
- Since then, he's been billed with St. Louis as his hometown, this stands true today.
- He only spent about a year in the indies. Wrestling with ROH and FIP in Florida, he had a lot of exposure and a lot of opportunities to get his name out there. He even did a short tour in Japan with Chris Hero. Every single day he was in the ring, honing his craft, and earning respect from people who were in the industry twice as long as he was just because of how driven he was to succeed. He mastered a maneuver that many people have either struggled with and/or just wouldn't try and that's the shooting star press. Working with the likes of Jack Evans, Jesse discovered this urge and desire to fly in the ring. His love for high flying artistry continues to this day as that's where the mass majority of his arsenal is.
- Jesse signed a WWE developmental contract the day before his 19th birthday. With his look, his desire and his attitude mixed with his abilities in the ring he started working in FCW and the developmental territories of the WWE. He apparently impressed the 'higher ups' so to speak, as he spent only 7 months or so in developmental before being shoved onto the main roster.
- He debuted in WWE on the ECW brand in late 2008 just before the new year. His first televised appearance being in Manchester, New Hampshire on December 29th, 2008 taping for ECW (which aired the 30th) in a losing effort. He then became a permanent stitch in ECW under the ring name Ryan Raine.
- Currently, Ryan Raine is representing the RAW brand and continues to shine in WWE. His finishing maneuver being the shooting star press, which was formerly banned by Vince McMahon. However Vince gave Jesse permission himself to use the SSP as his finisher due to the "grace and perfection" executed each time the move is pulled off during matches.
